I had the chance to speak with a few people over the past week to get the inside scoop on what Scottish bands will be heading to Austin next month, and it looks like there will be a record 17 bands here for SXSW. The full list is below:

Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: Three Blind Wolves in the Netherlands
This weeks listings include international dates from Twin Atlantic, Primal Scream, The Vaselines and Hudson Mohawke, while Uncle Vic has more on Glasgow’s Three Blind Wolves who finish their Dutch tour with gigs in Nijmegen, Groningen, Amsterdam and Zwolle.

Scottish Bands at SXSW 2011 – Ten More Bands Added
Last week the official SXSW website was updated with hundreds more bands added but with a couple of Scottish names removed. However, as we stand there are a record 19 20 Scottish artists on the 2011 schedule. Full details below.

Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: 35 New Tours Announced for 2011 by Scottish Artists
As Vic has been taking a well earned break after hosting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay party with Biffy Clyro, Dear Scotland has been updating the Scotland on Tour database with almost 300 new international shows from Scottish artists as diverse as Primal Scream, Isobel Campbell, Mogwai, Eddi Reader and Nazareth. Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: Biffy Clyro at Pukkelpop 2010
A wee bit of a Scottish invasion will happen this weekend in Belgium as Frightened Rabbit, Twin Atlantic and Snow Patrol join Biffy Clyro at the famous Pukkelpop Festival in Hasselt.
