Mitchell Museum have an album finished and simmering away (and sounding extremely good). By way of warming us up and also giving a home to some of the songs which became orphaned along the way, the band are giving away an EP, which you can download from their Bandcamp page.

Interview with Django Django
Though initially accepted and confirmed for SXSW 2010, London based Scottish band Django Django sadly were not able to get visas issued in time. Dave and Tommy spoke with Dear Scotland earlier this month when it looked like they were heading to Texas. It’s a really funny interview and hopefully they’ll make it next time.

Scottish Bands at SXSW 2010: Frightened Rabbit
Selkirk’s Frightened Rabbit are no strangers to SXSW. The beloved hare band were in Austin in 2007 and 2008 and they will return this year stronger than ever with their new album “The Winter of Mixed Drinks” set for release on March 1.

Glasgow band Fangs will be heading to SXSW for the first time this year. According to the band, they aim to deliver no-wave dirty disco direct to the dance floor. As well as their Austin gigs listed below, Fangs will also be dirtying dance floors in New York, Vegas and LA:
