- Belle and Sebastian Announce Americas Tour – Brooklyn Presale Tomorrow Belle and Sebastian today announced their first American shows in over four years, as well as their first ever visits to Mexico and Singapore. - Runrig Gigs in Denmark and Germany Runrig have announced a couple of upcoming tours of Denmark and Germany. The band who feature one of Scotland’s Greatest Ever Drummers in Iain Bayne will also tour the UK in December finishing with a show at the Barrowlands on December 18. Full details below:
- Fran Healy North American Solo Shows Fran Healy of Travis has announced that he will be playing his first ever solo shows this summer with Keane in the US and Canada. So far the tour has a few open dates so it is possible that additional gigs will be added. Full details below including Fran’s set times:
- Simple Minds Summertime Dates in Europe Simple Minds have announced 20 more gigs across Europe this summer including a reunion with old pals The Waterboys at the Lots Festival in the Netherlands. You can also catch ‘Lostboy!’ the side project from Scotland’s Greatest Ever Vocalist* at King Tuts in Glasgow on Saturday night. Details below:
- Frightened Rabbit Announce New Australian Gigs Frightened Rabbit are in San Francisco tonight playing an acoustic show at the Rickshaw Stop as they start to wrap up their US tour and the band have just announced new gigs in Sydney and Melbourne in August after their appearance at Splendour in the Grass. - Mogwai Gig in Japan Mogwai have announced their first show of 2010 headlining the Metamorphose Festival in Japan in September. The Glasgow band will also be premiering their new concert film ‘Burning’ later this month in Berlin. Details below:
- Three Blind Wolves in The Netherlands Glasgow’s Three Blind Wolves have announced a mini tour of The Netherlands to promote their forthcoming mini album ‘Sound of the Storm’. There is nothing mini about their sound however and singer-songwriter Ross Clark will be proving that to audiences in Utrecht and Amsterdam later this month. Details below:
- Trembling Bells in Brazil May is looking like a good month for fans of Scottish music in Brazil. Camera Obscura will be there on the 27th and 28th and Glasgow’s Trembling Bells have just announced a couple of gigs in Ribeirão Preto and Sao Paolo. Details as always on the Scotland on Tour page.
