Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Cancel the Astronauts
I first saw ‘Cancel the Astronauts’ last year in Edinburgh. Worryingly, the venue looked like a shabby school sports hall and there were cupcakes at the bar. Then when the band bounded on stage my only thoughts were: ‘The singer is wearing trackie bottoms? Well, this is going to be bollocks’. How wrong I was.

But this is a Joachim Löw.

Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Dupec
It’s time for some ROCK! Dupec are an Edinburgh three piece rock outfit that I first came across after the We Were Promised Jetpacks name checked them in several interviews. Being the curious/nosey bugger that I am, I did a little digging and soon found myself hooked by their loud catchy tunes.

Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Washington Irving
I’m not sure if it’s just my perception, but there seems to be a lot amazing indie-folk bands coming out of Scotland at the moment. The latest band to add to this list, are Glasgow based six piece, Washington Irving. Taking their name from one of my all time favourite books, ‘Catch 22′, they were […]
