The Twilight Sad are currently in the middle of their North American Scottish invasion tour with Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks. This week the three bands will be in Arizona, Texas, Louisiana and Alabama and according to Vic, The Twilight Sad will take your breath away.

The Twilight Sad

An utterly incredible band from Kilsyth, The Twilight Sad will take your breath away live and on record.

Waves of discordant noise and feedback swirl around dark, twisted lyrics and almost folk-like melodies as you are transported into a weird dream-world. Beautiful songs that remind you of a cross-between My Bloody Valentine, Mogwai, Leonard Cohen and Arab Strap with an utterly epic quality, this is a band who could and should play stadia. However, possibly the dark, lyrical subject matter and off-kilter, auto-destructive guitar-playing will render them a cult act… only time will tell.

Their debut LP ’14 autumns and 15 winters’ was a triumph that put them on the map in the UK, Europe and the USA. The second, soon-to-be-released, ‘Forget the Night Ahead’ will cement that reputation and hopefully build them into the household name they deserve to be.

Bring your earplugs and marvel at them on a bill with equally good Fatcat labelmates, Frightened Rabbit and We Were Promised Jetpacks.
