The Cinematics are in Belgium tonight, Nurnberg on Wednesday and Berlin on Friday, and Vic highlights those gigs as his pick of this week’s Scottish shows abroad. The band have recently finished recording a new album which will be released on 28th September 2009.

The Cinematics

Originally from Dingwall but relocated to Glasgow, The Cinematics are refining their stadium sound by the minute, with a second LP ‘Love and Terror’ about to drop and a legion of followers in the USA.

Recalling U2, Simple Minds, Joy Division, Editors and Jeff Buckley, you can see and hear an ambitious, epic and confident band who are afraid of nothing and want the big prize!

As a live band they are a well-oiled machine and have the angelic tones of Scott Rinning upfront, as he leads the group in charismatic style. If you like your tunes ‘huge’ and want to see a fearless band rock out, these guys are for you!
