Edinburgh’s Mike Scott remains one of the true legends of Scottish music and his new Waterboys show “An Appointment with Mr Yeats” has been a massive success. Mike Scott spoke to Dear Scotland this week about the new show, his favourite Waterboys videos and what he really thinks when he hears certain U2 songs.
Glasgow’s Kassidy were another of Vic’s 50 Scottish bands to watch this year and they are already starting to build a following outside the UK. Legendary Scottish rockers Idlewild are currently in the middle of a UK tour that ends in Dunfermline but that will head to Ireland next week. Glasgow’s Sparrow and the Workshop are touring with them until this weekend when they’ll join the Brian Jonestown Massacre in Paris. Details below:

Errors are coming to the end of their UK and Ireland tour this week with a show tonight in Dublin and tomorrow in Belfast. Their new album was released on March 1 to universal acclaim. Steev Livingstone spoke with us recently ahead of the Dublin show and new European tour dates in April and May.
Frightened Rabbit are in the middle of a UK tour supporting Gomez and next month they will support Modest Mouse in Ireland.
