- Scottish Bands at SXSW 2012 – Early Announcements and Rumours Earlier today the South by Southwest Festival (SXSW) updated its list of showcasing artists for the 2012 music event. Included in that announcement are the first two Scottish bands who are expected to make the trip to Austin next March – Laki Mera and Three Blind Wolves. More below.
- Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: 35 New Tours Announced for 2011 by Scottish Artists As Vic has been taking a well earned break after hosting Edinburgh’s Hogmanay party with Biffy Clyro, Dear Scotland has been updating the Scotland on Tour database with almost 300 new international shows from Scottish artists as diverse as Primal Scream, Isobel Campbell, Mogwai, Eddi Reader and Nazareth. - Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: We Were Promised Jetpacks in Germany Edinburgh’s We Were Promised Jetpacks continue their inevitable progression toward world domination with three festival appearances in Germany this weekend. The Jetpacks will play the Taubertal Festival in Rothenburg, the Rocco del Schlacko Festival in Saarbrucken and the Dockville Festival in Hamburg. Ticket details and more from Vic below:
- Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: Frightened Rabbit in Australia and Chicago This will be a week to remember for the Frightened Rabbit. Tonight the Frabbits are in Melbourne and tomorrow the band will play the Factory Theatre in Sydney. Then on Sunday they’ll play Lollapalooza in Chicago with Arcade Fire and Lady Gaga. - Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: Codeine Velvet Club in Japan This week the Codeine Velvet Club are in Japan for what may be there last ever show.
