I am going to feel like one of those parents trying to turn a two-year-old into a champion as I write this review, because this album is really good, but I fear I might spend most of the time nit-picking. Straight A’s? No A-stars? You have FAILED ME!

The Dumbarton Road to Nowhere
David Byrne, one of Scotland’s most famous expats, releases his latest unique album on Tartan Day next week. A collaboration with Fatboy Slim, “Here Lies Love” features the vocals of Cyndi Lauper and Santigold among others, and is just the latest stop on a fascinating musical journey that began in Dumbartonshire.

Sparrow and the Workshop European dates with Brian Jonestown Massacre
Sparrow and the Workshop have announced a European tour with the unpredictable Brian Jonestown Massacre later this month. The Glasgow based band will also support Idlewild on a UK tour following the release of their highly anticipated second album on April 17. Full details below:

Scotland on Tour with Vic Galloway: Twin Atlantic
