Best of 2010: ‘Away Game’ was Officially the Best Thing to Happen to Music, Ever

Best of 2010: You Have Been Watching… Restless Natives
The term cult film is really overused. Some claim that Reservoir Dogs or The Usual Suspects are cult films when they are really just critically appreciated successful films with a cool cast and/or soundtrack. The Dear Scotland contributors are going to take a bit of “winter break” over the festive period so it seems like an appropriate time to look back at some of the most popular articles of the year. First off, Billy’s thoughts on the summer of football.

The Scottish Blogger and Music Sites Award (The Scottish BAMS) 2010
Last year Lloyd / Peenko set up what he rather amusingly called the Scottish BAMS, a collection of people who write Blogs And Music websites which are kinda Scottishy – in the sense that they must either be based in Scotland, or written by Scots abroad, such as the Daily Growl or your Dear Scotland.

The Perfect Christmas Gift for Expats
Christmas for expats can sometimes be a bit tough. If there is ever a time when homesickness is guaranteed to kick in it will be Christmas, Boxing Day or Hogmanay. That said, I know that this year wont be as bad because I can now watch live UK telly whenever I want with Expat Surfer.
