Scottish Bands at SXSW 2010: St Deluxe
Vic Galloway has said of St Deluxe that their sound is reminiscent of Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, and My Bloody Valentine with near-whispered vocals, fuzzed-out guitars and a stoned haze of production culminating in a very, sweet whole! Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Burnt Island
When I first decided to do a weekly post about up and coming Scottish artists, the first name that came to mind was Burnt Island. With their forthcoming mini-album, ‘Music and Maths’ due out on March 15th, I can now stop sitting on my hands and proclaim my new found love for this band.
