1990s Rescheduled Gig in Brooklyn this Weekend
Like Frightened Rabbit, the 1990s were forced to cancel dates in the US due to Volcanic ash last week. Fortunately they have been able to reschedule their New York show for the Bell House in Carroll Gardens this Friday night. If it’s anything like the Yummy Fur gig earlier this year it will be packed:

Burnt Island – ‘Music and Maths’ Reviewed
There’s something wonderfully uncomplicated about this gorgeous EP by Burnt Island. It’s not simplistic or basic or anything like that, it just has a confidently slow pace and an effortless manner – they just make it all seem so easy.

Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – RM Hubbert
Dave Grohl, the nicest man in rock? My arse. RM ‘Hubby’ Hubbert wins this title by a country mile. He also has the tunes to back this title up to. It’s not very often that I proclaim my love for instrumental music, never mind when it’s flamenco-based.
