Interview with Camera Obscura
Camera Obscura are currently in the middle of a European tour and the band will be at La Maroquinerie in Paris tonight. Last weekend, bass player Gavin Dunbar (far right) spoke with Dear Scotland about Camera Obscura’s upcoming gig at the Barrowland Ballroom, hearing their songs on Sportscene and the importance of Lorne sausage.

Interview with FOUND; CMJ gigs in New York
FOUND are an artist collective / pop band based in Edinburgh. They are also one of the most exciting and creative new bands in Scotland right now. FOUND will return to New York for the CMJ Music Marathon later this month and last week a hungover Tommy and Ziggy spoke to Dear Scotland about the upcoming gigs.

We Were Promised Jetpacks and The Twilight Sad played a sensational show in Brooklyn on Friday night. The morning after, Dear Scotland spoke with WWPJ about the tour and more. See below. The band are back in NYC tonight at the Bowery Ballroom but get there early as the Jetpacks will open the show.

Trashcan Sinatras Interview and Session
The Trashcan Sinatras were in the US this summer and on the morning after the last gig of their tour, the band travelled – somewhat dazed – to NYC to record a session. Edinburgh’s Broken Records will likely appear on many “Best of 2009″ lists this year with their debut album “Until the Earth Begins to Part”. Acclaim for the band continues to grow and last week, guitarist and glockenspielist Ian Turnbull spoke to Dear Scotland ahead of a European tour that starts in Heidelberg on September 22.
