Dundee’s The View are currently in Australia and are scheduled to play in Brisbane tonight, Sydney tomorrow and Perth on Friday. Radio 1’s Vic Galloway tells us why this is his pick of the Scottish gigs abroad this week.

The View in Australia

It’s a hard life being a rock’n’roll star, especially when you’re in your early 20’s, have had two top 10 albums and have a nice following worldwide!! Am I jealous? Me?

Well, if you’re not going to be freezing your nuts off in Dundee this week, why not take a trip to Australia where it’ll be blazing sunshine and peak beer-drinking season. You could witness those hard-living troubadours The View tear it up in style.

Always great fun live and more than capable of rousing-a-rabble, I’d imagine they’ll be playing some new songs in amongst the favourites. Rumours are the next album is written and demo-ed, and sounding incredible. Don’t bother sticking ‘another snag on the barbie’ – check out Dryburgh’s finest down under!
