- Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay – The Artists Albums of the Year (Part 2) So here we are with the second of my series of posts getting some of the artists that did interviews for us to tell me their albums of 2010. - Indelible Ink: Special Edition ‘The Year of Open Doors’ ‘Novels are full of padding, they’re clearly objectionable’ Paul Reekie ‘Submission’ The above quote is one of my favourites and comes from the 1996 short story collection ‘Children of Albion Rovers’. It is the way I feel about many novels, and neatly sums up why I have such a love for the short story.
- Burnt Island – ‘Music and Maths’ Reviewed There’s something wonderfully uncomplicated about this gorgeous EP by Burnt Island. It’s not simplistic or basic or anything like that, it just has a confidently slow pace and an effortless manner – they just make it all seem so easy.
- Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Burnt Island When I first decided to do a weekly post about up and coming Scottish artists, the first name that came to mind was Burnt Island. With their forthcoming mini-album, ‘Music and Maths’ due out on March 15th, I can now stop sitting on my hands and proclaim my new found love for this band.
