The Cinematics Bring Love and Terror to Europe
The Cinematics met in Dingwall and are currently based in Glasgow but it seems like Central Europe is beginning to feel like home for the band. Colin MacIntyre Gig in Florida

Camera Obscura in Australia, NZ and Japan in 2010
Camera Obscura have announced their first ever shows in Japan for early 2010. The band will play 2 nights at Fever in Tokyo after a short tour of Australia and New Zealand. Ticket details for all shows and a review of their recent Brooklyn gig below:

The Dubai Brothers – The Proclaimers in UAE
The Proclaimers are currently in New Zealand with three more shows scheduled this weekend. On their way home the boys have announced a stop off in Dubai for their 94th and final gig of 2009 on Friday 18 December. Details and NPR set below.

Franz Ferdinand in Australia and South America 2010
Franz Ferdinand are in Portugal tomorrow and they will continue their world domination with gigs throughout Australia and South America next year. The Yummy Fur Reuniting for US Tour
Glaswegian 90’s band The Yummy Fur have announced that they will be getting back together for a few shows in America next year. The band formerly included ‘Scotland’s Greatest Ever Drummer‘ Paul Thomson and Alex Kapranos of Franz Ferdinand. Word has it that Paul will feature in the reunited line-up. Details below.

Scottish Bands Announced for SXSW 2010
South by Southwest (SXSW) has announced an initial line-up of 200 or so showcasing artists for the annual music festival in Austin, Texas next year. Bis To Reform for 2010 Primavera Festival
Manda Rin has announced that she will be reuniting with Sci-fi Steven and John Disco for a one-off Bis show at the 2010 Primavera Festival in Barcelona. No word yet on whether Roland R5, the Bis drum machine who failed to make the Greatest Ever Drummer shortlist, will be making an appearance too. Details below:

God Help The Girl in the Netherlands
Belle and Sebastian’s Stuart Murdoch has been working on his “God Help The Girl’ project intermittently for the last five years.
