Glasgow’s Rustie has been described as “the sound of the underground before the underground has even had a chance to get out of bed”. Vic Galloway highlights Rustie’s sets at Vega in Copenhagen on Friday and at Rocket in Milan on Saturday as the pick of all the Scottish gigs outside the UK this week:

Another genuinely inspired electronic musician and producer who, alongside Hudson Mohawke and others, is part of the ‘Lucky Me Collective‘ from central Scotland.

His sound is a little harder and in many ways more focused than Hudson’s with more of an electro bite to the beats and basslines. Only in his early twenties, he’s already ripping up dance floors worldwide and making remixes for artists across the board.

This is broken, reassembled, oddball instrumental music from Glasgow and is leading the world in new sounds and production techniques. If you have an inquisitive mind, a desire to dance and a love of strange, beguiling music… you’ll love Rustie!

Also on tour this week: We Were Promised Jetpacks, Twilight Sad, Camera Obscura, Alex Smoke, Snow Patrol, Hostage, Travis and Dolby Anol. See all dates below.
