Edinburgh’s We Were Promised Jetpacks continue their inevitable progression toward world domination with three festival appearances in Germany this weekend. The Jetpacks will play the Taubertal Festival in Rothenburg, the Rocco del Schlacko Festival in Saarbrucken and the Dockville Festival in Hamburg. Ticket details and more from Vic below:
Every Monday, the legend that is Vic Galloway brings us the only listing of every Scottish band playing abroad this week along with one of his highlights. This week Vic has more on Glasgow’s Errors, (featuring Scotland’s 2nd Greatest Ever Drummer*) who are in Amsterdam tonight.
Vic will be putting his feet up this morning after presenting 3 days of television coverage of T in the Park this weekend. Festival season is in full swing in Europe and next weekend Glaswegian band Mungo’s Hi Fi will join reggae legends like Toots & the Maytals at the Real Beat Reggae Festival in Česká Lípa. Vic has more on Mungo’s Hi Fi along with information on all the Scottish bands on tour this week.

Regular followers of Dear Scotland will already know a lot about Meursault through Matthew Young’s articles. The band are a major part of the Edinburgh music scene and Matthew’s Song by Toad Record Label and their new album is released next month. This week they embark on their first European tour. Vic has the details.
There are not many Scottish bands that have played more gigs that We Were Promised Jetpacks in the past 9 months. And we should know because we’ve listed them all. Following a sold out coast to coast US tour, the band are heading out to Europe once again.
