Just a handful of Scottish bands on tour this week, (by the way let us know if we are missing any), but Isobel Campbell starts her European tour and Vic has more on Hostage in Spain. Also the new Mogwai film will be screened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC on Friday.

Something for everyone this week with a very eclectic list of Scots bands with gigs abroad over the next 7 days. Belle and Sebastian, Runrig, Paolo Nutini, Mungo’s Hi Fi and The Cinematics are all on tour but Vic has more on The Phantom Band who will hit the Electric Elephant Festival in Petrcane:
A wee bit of a Scottish invasion will happen this weekend in Belgium as Frightened Rabbit, Twin Atlantic and Snow Patrol join Biffy Clyro at the famous Pukkelpop Festival in Hasselt. After a year writing about all the great Scottish acts playing around the world, Vic is off to Gothenburg at the weekend to perform a DJ set at the Ritz and quite rightly it’s the gig of the week. More details below along with info on every other Scottish show abroad this week.

Frightened Rabbit are in San Francisco tonight playing an acoustic show at the Rickshaw Stop as they start to wrap up their US tour and the band have just announced new gigs in Sydney and Melbourne in August after their appearance at Splendour in the Grass. Full details and Oz tour diary below.
Snow Patrol will kick off their European tour in Berlin on Friday before heading over to Copenhagen on Saturday. Excerpts from Vic’s exclusive interview with Gary from Snow Patrol are below along with a listing of every Scottish international gig this week.
