- Interview with Mike Scott of The Waterboys Edinburgh’s Mike Scott remains one of the true legends of Scottish music and his new Waterboys show “An Appointment with Mr Yeats” has been a massive success. Mike Scott spoke to Dear Scotland this week about the new show, his favourite Waterboys videos and what he really thinks when he hears certain U2 songs.
- The Proclaimers European and US Tour Dates The Proclaimers will be travelling a lot of miles over the next few months. - Sparrow and the Workshop European dates with Brian Jonestown Massacre Sparrow and the Workshop have announced a European tour with the unpredictable Brian Jonestown Massacre later this month. The Glasgow based band will also support Idlewild on a UK tour following the release of their highly anticipated second album on April 17. Full details below:
- Belle and Sebastian Summer Festival Dates Belle and Sebastian have announced that they will be performing live this summer for the first time since 2008. Currently the Glasgow band are set to play in Japan, Korea, Norway and Finland. Details are below and, as always, the listing will be updated if and when more gigs are added.
- Biffy Clyro European and US Tour Dates. SXSW? 2010 will be a huge year for Biffy Clyro. This Friday the band will start a headline European tour before joining up with Manchester Orchestra for more American dates. - St Deluxe backing The Telescopes in Norway Glasgow’s St Deluxe have been described by Alan McGee as “a Scottish Nirvana for the 21st Century”. The former Creation boss will likely be delighted to learn that St Deluxe will now be backing one of his earliest signings The Telescopes for a special show in Norway next month.
