Vic picks Dananananaykroyd as the highlight of the many Scottish gigs around the world this week. The ‘Naykroyds are visiting Australia right now for the first time and will be in Sydney on Wednesday and Melbourne on Thursday night. According to Vic they may well be the best live band on the planet right now.
Vic highlights Frightened Rabbit as the pick of the Scottish gigs around the world this week. The Rabbit are in North America right now and they will return in September with labelmates The Twilight Sad and We Were Promised Jetpacks. The Jetpacks are live in session with Vic on Monday night on BBC Radio Scotland.
Some people may be surprised to know that vintage Scottish rockers Nazareth are still going strong but, as previously noted on Dear Scotland, the band are currently on a tour of Canada. Later this summer the Fifers will visit Poland, Germany and the Czech Republic. Tour dates below.

2008 marked the 40th Anniversary since the original four members of legendary rockers Nazareth got together back in Fife in 1968. The band have never really stopped touring and continue to play to devoted fans around the world. This summer the band will be in Canada before heading back to Eastern Europe.
