Isobel Campbell continues her European tour this week with shows scheduled in Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands. Excerpts from Vic’s recent interview with Isobel are below. And in related news, we will have exciting news for US fans of Belle and Sebastian on Dear Scotland tomorrow.
Just a handful of Scottish bands on tour this week, (by the way let us know if we are missing any), but Isobel Campbell starts her European tour and Vic has more on Hostage in Spain. Also the new Mogwai film will be screened at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC on Friday.

Something for everyone this week with a very eclectic list of Scots bands with gigs abroad over the next 7 days. Belle and Sebastian, Runrig, Paolo Nutini, Mungo’s Hi Fi and The Cinematics are all on tour but Vic has more on The Phantom Band who will hit the Electric Elephant Festival in Petrcane:
Festival season is in full swing in Europe and next weekend Glaswegian band Mungo’s Hi Fi will join reggae legends like Toots & the Maytals at the Real Beat Reggae Festival in Česká Lípa. Vic has more on Mungo’s Hi Fi along with information on all the Scottish bands on tour this week.
Glasgow’s We Are The Physics will be en Tours this week. Specifically the band will play at the Festival Aucard de Tours in France. Vic Galloway sidesteps the opportunity for more weak French puns but has more on ‘The Physics’ below as well as his weekly listing of every Scottish band playing abroad this week:
It is a bumper week for Scottish bands on tour internationally this week with 18 bands playing across the world. Highlights include Camera Obscura and A-Lix in South America, Codeine Velvet Club in Romania and the mighty Bis at the Primavera Festival. Vic has more on Bis alongside the full listings below:
Brit nominee Calvin Harris has just finished a string of festival dates in Australia and on his way home he’ll be stopping off in Thailand, Indonesia and Singapore for a few more gigs. The inventors of Cybraphon, (see video below), FOUND will thrill audiences at The Rose in Williamsburg on Thursday night, and at the Central Park Bandshell on Saturday.
