Decisions, Decisions
It’s that time of year again: nicer weather, Cadbury’s Cream Eggs, and the Old Firm Decider. This Sunday, Celtic visit Ibrox for the third time since August – the two teams matching off for a record seventh time in one season. If familiarity breeds contempt, then referee Craig Thomson had better get his arm ready […]

Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – St. Deluxe
Once upon a time a wee baldy ginger man from Scotland heralded St Deluxe as being “a Scottish Nirvana for the 21st Century…”. No this wasn’t my fellow blogger Jim ‘Ayetunes’, instead it was the notorious Alan McGee, aye him what discovered Oasis. At the time I am pretty sure that the band would have […]

You Have Been Watching… Soft Top, Hard Shoulder
Soft Top Hard Shoulder was Peter Capaldi’s second screenplay after Franz Kafka’s It’s a Wonderful Life which he also directed. Although it hasn’t quite got the magic of Bill Forsyth’s best work, which it is clearly inspired by, Soft Top, Hard Shoulder has bags of charm and is a lovely way to spend an hour and a half.

Scottish Football Association Ltd vs Paul McBride QC
I’m not a lawyer, but in the last few months I’ve learned a few things about defamation. Paul McBride IS a lawyer, and a good one at that, but he should ask for a copy of my lecture notes before he opens his mouth again and further libels the SFA.

Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – Adam Stafford
It’s a pretty bold step for a front man to decide to go solo, so after the demise of Falkirk stalwarts, Y’all Is Fantasy Island, it felt like a natural step for Adam Stafford to step out into the limelight. He already recorded a fantastic covers album, “Music in the Mirabel”, plus two prior albums […]
