  • Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – The Gothenburg Address I’ve never really been a massive fan of post-rock bands, though it’s never been through a lack of trying. I own a couple of Mogwai albums and have seen them live on numerous occasions, but while some grown men weep I usually find my mind wandering. Lloyd Meredith

  • Toad Session: Eagleowl A large part of me thinks there should be an Eagleowl Interviewers’ Support Group.  They are some of the loveliest people you will ever meet, but getting them to talk is like trying to learn Kung-Fu in an afternoon. Matthew Young

  • Chinese Numerology and Scottish Football Living in China these past few years has been a cultural education for me.  I’ve given red packets of ‘lai see’ money to my employees at Chinese New Year (always crisp, new notes); I understand why a large apartment block on a hillside was designed with a hole in the middle (it’s so the spirits […] Billy Williamson

  • Peenko’s Scots Way-Hay! – The Boy Who Trapped The Sun It’s not often that I post about artists on major labels, however, in The Boy Who Trapped The Sun’s case I am more than happy to make an exception. It was the session that he recorded for Vic Galloway last year that first brought him to my attention. Lloyd Meredith
