Dundee’s finest The View will be playing two shows in Brazil this week. On Saturday they will headline the Underage Stage at the Coca-Cola Parc Festival in Porto Alegre, the largest city in Southern Brazil. On Sunday the boys head to the Clash Club in Sao Paulo thanks to support provided in part by the British Council´s Incubator project.

One of the most exciting and on-the-edge bands of recent years, The View emerged in late 2006, releasing their debut album, ‘Hats Off To The Buskers’ in early ’07. A whirlwind of destruction and great tunes the View embodied all that is vital about rock ‘n’ roll. Their debut album sold in excess of 300,000 copies.

Decamping to rural Wales in the early summer of ’08 with producer Owen Morris (perhaps the only man able to not only channel their schizophrenic ideas & plans but also to simply keep up with them) they set to work on their second album, ‘Which Bitch’. The record will perhaps come as a bit of a shock for those expecting a re-run of the 1st album’s infectious collection of tracks; still heavy on the joyful rush that made their debut so exciting, the album also weaves its way from rip-roaring heads-down boogie to Tayside sea-shanties via moments of real beauty.
